The mobile phone app for identifying music that you hear is called ‘Shazam’ – and it works quite well I believe!

And, Jenny, you may be right about the batteries dying.
It was a south American number I think – sung in Spanish. My daughter’s boyfriend has an app on his phone that hears things and tells you what they are – I could ask him! I remember dancing to it ( probably dizzily at a works do so pre 1992 ) my feet and shoes never worked very well afterwards either!
